Syukur Alhamdulillah. Everything was went very well. So i can say that, this semester is almost done. Just few things that i should settle down and then, lets go for holiday!
But today's presentation, is quite interesting because my friend and i raise up a sensitive issues about hijab. All i can say is, people have their own perception about hijab and sometimes it can be seen that hijabster cant suit with entertainment business. I was pretty shocked and "kelu lidah berbicara" when they ask me about few questions about hijab.
Based on my research, hijab can be measure by few elements which is by aurah, tabbaruj and al jaib.
Aurah is basically, covering our body and "perhiasan" with the proper outfit and must be cover from the strangers. Hijab must be lower the chest. Palm and face can be seen and our feet can be covered with socks.
Another issue regarding ethics of women is tabarruj. According to the Ulama’ Syafii, tabarruj means to show accessories & the beauty of body. But in a very 'melampau' way. hihi
And Al jaib is a term where should our neck be covered . so we did compared on Hijabista and Nur magazine. Hm... all i can say is.. both of the magazine are not practising the right values in the fashion spread magazine.
Okay, in a very bad position, yes, they didnt follow any rules or values of islamic fashion. butttt let see in a good way, they try to improvise muslimah fashions into a new concept.
Takkan lah kita younger generation pun nak pakai kain batik lagi kan?
So, few questions has been raised during the presentation.
The first question was
"Does Hijabista and Nur has been questioned by some people?"
And my answer was,
Yes, they did, but in terms of profit, they have to put it aside all the way they go.
The second question was
"What do you think about Yuna's fashion? does it againts the values of muslimah"
This questions was really hard to answer for me. because if i said something that is not right, it might become as a 'fitnah'. so... all i can say is... yes. but she is trying to covered her aurah but she is trying to fit in the culture in US.
so after that..... questions has been raised up but it was nothing to do with our presentation. They start asked me about aurah, hijab at work, Islamophobia, bla bla bla... and everything.
i was like tepuk dahi and layankan je lah. hahahaha. and thanks to che nur because she managed to answer everything in a very appropriate way.
what to do? i dah macam ustazah mempromosikan hijabbbbbb.. hahahaha
but other than that, nothing more i can say.
semua ok. semua cun melecun. Gigil juga. tapi ok lah
Thnk you prof ilias. you such a best lecturer ever. event though he likes to sakat me . hahaha
Thank you Allah.
Thank you Allah
Syukran
